The Rules:
The rules may look long, but really, there isn’t much too them. Pretty much, if you read the first sentence of each rule you will be ok. But if you don’t understand the rule, read the entire thing because it will explain it. Basically, know the rules and follow them and you will be fine.
Basics:
1. I am the almighty admin. Bow down to me. Basically, whatever I say, or one of my moderators say, goes. But if you are one of my moderators and you are reading this, please know that I still have the final word in everything, so if you and I get into an argument about something, I will always win. I’m really not that harsh about this rule, I actually don’t know the point of having this rule, just do what I ask you to do, and I promise not to ask much.
2. No god modeling, power playing or anything else that you want to call it. (I swear, some people really tick me off, if I only put god modeling and someone does this, they say, oh I’m not god modeling, I’m power playing, and there is nothing against power playing. This has happened to me before. *sigh* I don’t think that person likes me anymore.) Every character has a weakness, yours is no exception.
3. Don’t play other people’s characters. They have their characters; you have your characters, so stick with them.
4. Try to keep posts to a PG-13 rating. If you just have to put something above a PG-13 rating, please indicate at the top of your post in BIG CAPITOL LETTERS! And if you could, try to summarize with a PG-13 rating what happened in your post so people don’t get confused. Like me, I get confused easily.
5. Don’t cuss a lot. I understand your character may like to cuss, but don’t make every other word a cuss word, it’s annoying. And a lot of cuss words have preset censors on this site that proboards automatically puts in, so hopefully this rule won’t be a problem.
6. Don’t role play in first person, in other words, unless your character is talking or thinking, don’t use the word I.
7. Bad things do happen to good people. You may not totally want the Phantom’s wrath to be brought down upon you, but if you do something that deserves it, than deal with whatever happens, you brought it upon yourself. And plus, it makes it more interesting when the Phantom picks on people.
8. In regards to rule number 7, no killing off characters unless they want to be killed, and no permanently damaging characters unless they want it. (i.e. chopping off limbs)
9. I am stupid, lazy, and have absolutely no motivation. In other words, I don’t want to do a lot of work unless I have to. There won’t be much work, if any involved in this RPG, just read the rules, submit for a character, and have fun RPing. And please don’t break the rules, because if you do, that means I have to get onto you about it, and that means work, I don’t want to do work, so just don’t break the rules.
Characters:
1. You must be a reagistered user on this board to create a character. It isn't that hard to join, and it doesn't cost a penny. All you have to do is fill out the form thing set up by proboards, submit it and boom, you're there. Heck, you could even lie on every single part of it. I may just have to try that sometime.
2. I accept almost any character. Even though this RPG is based off of ALW’s version of the Phantom of the Opera, if you want to play a character from Leroux’s or Kay’s version that’s fine with me, just let me know that you are doing that.
3. Original characters are welcome. But your character has to be believable, and do not model them off of a character from the movie. And no distant relations or unknown children of people you know can’t have them; i.e. Phantom, Christine.
4. You must fill out the character bio sheet for any character you want to play, movie or original character. Original characters should have no problem filling it out, but if you are a character from the movie there may be some things that you don’t know, so either leave it blank, or make it up.
5. Fill out the character bio sheet and post it in the join section. Only after I have responded to your post accepting your character can you post. Don’t post before then because I will delete your posts.
6. You may play as many characters as you can handle. And if you want to create a separate sn for each of your characters, that is perfectly fine with me, just let me know that it is the same person playing all those people.
